STRIKING ART STUDIO REGISTRATION POLICY

 

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION/PAYMENT/REFUNDS/RIGHT TO CANCEL/RIGHT OF REFUSAL/& RIGHT TO TERMINATE POLICIES FOR STRIKING ART STUDIO


Thank you for reading thru this policy so you understand the expectations. Please click on Catalog of Classes tab to see what types of classes & workshops are available.  In the following paragraphs, the words Class(es) and Workshop(s) are used interchangably.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns, and I look forward to meeting you!

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION:

 

Click on the hyperlink above Registration Request Form and print off a paper copy; fill out & sign the form; enclose your payment info with your form as follows:    If you pay for a class but are subsequently not confirmed in it, your money will be refunded promptly.  If you pay for a class and decide to cancel, you will be bound by the cancelation policy outlined below. 


REGISTRATION INFO:

 

HOW TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS / CLASSES / STUDIO TIME / CONSULT TIME /DESIGN SERVICES

Call or email me first to check availability for reservationsfor Open Studio and Studio Rental times & . 

 

  • For scheduled Workshops and Classes, open spaces are filled on a first paid, first confirmed basis ~ please do not delay in returning your Registration Form and Payment Info by mail!  If you have paid for a class but are subsequently not confirmed in it, your money will be refunded promptly.

 

  • For Open Studio Sessions and Studio Rental, you must call to make an advance reservation ~ 2 hour minimum & subject to availability.  For these you will pay at the end of each day's session.

 

  • For Create a Class, you will need to pre-pay the posted web cost to schedule it into my studio Calendar.  The class will then be opened & advertised to gain additional students (max 4 students).

 

  • For Web Design services, you will need to pre-pay the First Four Hour Minimum of Web Design time.  All design time thereafter will be pre-authorized by you and will be billed on quarter hour increments, payable upon receipt of e-bill OR by pre-pay using the Add to Cart drop down button on the website.  There is no charge for the Initial Interview to discuss your business needs.  You will receive a Web Design Proposal by email, that you will need to reveiw, sign & date, and return by mail to me. You will also need to reply to the Web Proposal email with your PayPal receipt information, which will confirm  your pre-acceptance of the proposal and will confirm our scheduled First Meeting.  Once the First Billable Meeting begins (by phone or one on one), the $120 design fee minimum is non-refundable.

 

  • For Private Consult / Lessons, you will need to pre-pay the First Four Hour Minimum of time, and will be responsible for all supplies, materials, and firing fees associated with your consult / lesson; thereafter the billing rate is pre-approved by you, clocked by the quarter hour and payable upon receipt of e-bill at end of each session or by pre-pay using the drop down Add to Cart button on the website.  Once the Private Consult begins, the $120 First Four Hour Minimum is non-refundable.

  • If you are paying by PayPal, return your completed Registration & Payment form with your PayPal payment confirmation number filled in on the form, so that I can verify the funds have been received in my PayPal account.  Paypal accepts electronic e-checks and credit cards ~ any fees associated with using a credit card on PayPal shall be payable by you, as an additional cost to the class fee.

 

  • If you are paying by local bank check, mail the signed registration form along with your payment to:

I will contact you by email as soon as I receive your completed Registration Request with payment in full. 

 

  • Please note that your spot in a class or workshop is NOT considered confirmed until you receive your Registration Confirmation email (or mail) from me.   

 

  • If there WAS NO LONGER a space available in the class or workshop when your registration and payment were received, your money will be promptly refunded in full if you paid by PayPal OR your check will be shredded or returned to you, according to your preference.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

 
PAYMENT FORMS ACCEPTED: PayPal and Checks on Local Banks Only

If you would like to pay by a credit card, please do so through PayPal.  Paypal accepts electronic checks and credit cards ~ any fees associated with using a credit card on PayPal shall be payable by you, as an addition to the class fee.


 

 

1) For secure online payments using PayPal:

 

 If you are a PayPal member, log on at www.paypal.com to pay by credit card (small use fee) OR by electronic check from your verified bank account (free!):

  • Click on "Send Money" at the top of the page
  • Enter JamieJ@StrikingArt.com in the "TO" field
  • Enter the full amount you are paying in the "Amount" field
  • In the "For" field, click "Service/Other"
  • Click Send Money (you will review payment details on the next page)
  • Enter the class title & dates in the "Subject" line, along w/ your name
  • OR enter the Studio or Web Service and your name in the "Subject" line
  • Complete the payment according to instructions on PayPal
  • Record your Confirmation Number & payment date on my Registration form

 

If you are NOT currently a PayPal member, log on at www.paypal.com :

  • Click on Getting Started to set up a FREE PayPal account ~ pretty easy & oh so handy!!
  • Follow the same directions as above to make a payment in full for your class  

 

2) For Payment by Personal or Business Check cashable on Local Banks only: 

 

          I will accept your check ONLY IF there is a local branch of your

          bank located in my area where I can go to cash it upon receipt. 

 Note:  You may also make e-check payments from your bank account via Paypal.

REFUNDS & CANCELATION INFO:


REFUNDS:  WITHDRAWALS / DROPPED CLASSES

The words class and workshop are used interchangably in this document.

A FULL refund (less a $15 administrative fee) will ONLY be given if you withdraw at least 10 (ten) days prior to the start date of your class or workshop.

Students withdrawing from OR dropping a class less than 10 days from the start date of that class are NOT eligible for any refund UNLESS a paying student is found in time to take your place (as in the class is FULL and a new person wants to pay to take your spot).  Credit towards a future class (less a $15 administrative fee) will instead be issued, valid for up to one year from the start date of the dropped class.  The standard registration process will be required for a new class.

 

REFUNDS FOR WEB DESIGN SERVICES:

Please refer to your Web Design Proposal that was or will be emailed to you ~ it will contain more detailed policy guidelines.  Once the First Billable Meeting begins, the $120 design fee minimum is non-refundable. 

 

REFUNDS:  MISSED CLASSES / ABSENCES

Striking Art will NOT extend any refunds to students who miss or don't show up for a class; however if there were extenuating circumstances due to an emergency, credit towards a future class MAY be issued at the Studio's discretion.  The same $15 adminstration fee and credit expiration date applies as in the above paragraph.  (Please contact me before the start of a class series if you know you will have to miss one of the class dates, to see what arrangements can be made ~ I do try to be flexible and accomodating!)

 

 

RIGHT TO CANCEL

Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to cancel any class not meeting a minimum enrollment 7 days prior to its start date.  Students will be contacted if this occurs, and either a full refund (including admin fee) will be issued OR a full credit (including admin fee) will be given towards a future class, according to the STUDENT'S preference.  Striking Art will NOT assume responsibility for ANY LOSSES INCURRED BY ANY STUDENT BEYOND the amount equal to the full class fee, should a class need to be canceled due to class minimums, instructor illness, or any unforseen situation on the part of the studio or other entities. 

 

 

RIGHT OF REFUSAL

Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to refuse service and/or registration to any person, group, or organization inquiring about classes, workshops, events, donations, or consultations.  

 

 

RIGHT TO TERMINATE

Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to terminate a student's enrollment at any point due to the student's unreasonable conduct.  A refund in this situations WILL NOT be given. 

 

 

SAFETY REQUIRMENTS POLICY

Please review the Studio's policies on the Safety Requirements page from the tool bar above, along with the Studio Safety & Supply Info sheet that will come with your Registration Confirmation email (or mail) -- you are responsible for adhering to the information in these documents!

 

Thank you for following these guidelines and for understanding my studio's policies.  My goal is to provide all of my students with an enjoyable & empowering learning experience in a safe environment!
